My Bible Reading Plan for 2012 and Ideas for Your 2012 Bible Reading Plan

Hello again! In my previous post, I shared that I was following a Bible reading plan that would take me through the entire Bible this year. I am eight days into this plan and I am enjoying it.

Today, I am sharing an article from Ligonier Ministries. I have been blessed by their resources that they share on their website. From their website, “Ligonier Ministries is an international Christian education organization founded by theologian Dr. R.C. Sproul in 1971 to equip Christians to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. Proclaiming God’s holiness is central to our purpose.

The article that I am sharing is by Nathan W. Bingham and it is called “Bible Reading Plans for 2012.” It’s not to late to get started. So don’t let a week into the new year discourage you, if you don’t have a plan for your Bible reading this year.

I am following the Tabletalk Bible Reading Plan this year. I hope the article gives you motivation and encouragement to follow a plan to read through the Bible this year on a daily basis. Let me know if you have other ideas or plans to share on how you read through the Bible.

Training for a half-marathon

I am a runner. Why do I run? Well it’s a long story, one that I will share soon. But to go back to the question, I am running right now to train for an upcoming race in September. I have registered for the Fort-4-Fitness Half Marathon in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This will be my third half-marathon.

The last time I ran in this race was 2009. I remember hitting the wall at the 10-mile mark. I finished the race, but it was a struggle.

So for this year, I decided to train smarter but also challenge myself as well. I signed up for a training plan from THE RUN SMART PROJECT.

I am enjoying this plan. I have a goal time in mind for this race and it is 1 hour and 50 minutes. This would be approximately five minutes faster than my last race. It would also be a personal best for me.

I will share more as training progresses. I have been learning a lot about setting goals, trying, achieving, and failing.
