Today, I am sharing an article from Ligonier Ministries. I have been blessed by their resources that they share on their website. From their website, “Ligonier Ministries is an international Christian education organization founded by theologian Dr. R.C. Sproul in 1971 to equip Christians to articulate what they believe and why they believe it. Proclaiming God’s holiness is central to our purpose.“

The article that I am sharing is by Nathan W. Bingham and it is called “Bible Reading Plans for 2012.” It’s not to late to get started. So don’t let a week into the new year discourage you, if you don’t have a plan for your Bible reading this year.

I am following the Tabletalk Bible Reading Plan this year. I hope the article gives you motivation and encouragement to follow a plan to read through the Bible this year on a daily basis. Let me know if you have other ideas or plans to share on how you read through the Bible.

Anyway, I wanted to share a blog post about making a plan to be in God’s word daily. I have resolved to follow a reading plan this year to that will take me through the entire Bible. I was able to accomplish this goal a couple of years ago and I was blessed for having gone through it.

I work in the technology field and I grew up using Apple computers and products since grade school. I still do some twenty plus years later. Apple was a company that was maligned during the mid-to-late 1990s. I rooted for Apple, like someone roots for their favorite sports team during that time.

Now after seeing this news, I was sad because I had a strong feeling that Steve Jobs had died without Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. For all the amazing things he had done in his life, without Christ, there would be no hope for him in the next.

A lot has been written since his death by other christian bloggers. Some posts have been judgmental and cold to a degree, while other posts have been accurate yet graceful. Since his death, the biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson was released last week. I plan on reading it soon. Here is a review by Tim Challies of the book at his blog.

When I saw it this morning, I laughed. I am a Dallas Cowboys fan and if you know that they played last night, how they did, and how much of a fan I am, you can understand why I laughed. Don’t let this game or the fantasy game affect your emotional state.

• Start and co-lead a Crown Biblical Financial study which is a 10 week endeavor.

I don’t mean to bore you but I just wanted to provide a glimpse of what I have been doing. Now it is October 31st and I haven’t blogged at all this month. Until now!

I play fantasy football as well. I think I have played since the year 2000. I can relate to Ted’s thoughts in this article. I can state that I have had the thoughts he has had about this game. Definitely an insightful and funny read!
